Nova Dreams Casino has no listing in the Apple App Store or Google Play. I searched both before I found out why: the operator runs a browser-based app that you add to your home screen, and it takes up almost no space on your phone.
I installed the Nova Dreams Casino app on an iPhone 13 and a Samsung Galaxy A54 over one weekend. I claimed the welcome bonus, played a few hundred spins and requested a withdrawal on the Monday.
A Nova Dreams Casino app download in the usual sense does not exist. App stores set minimum device specs and review every update, so Nova Dreams built its mobile casino as a web app that runs through your browser. Older handsets that fail store requirements still open it without trouble.
Installing it takes about half a minute:
The icon opens the lobby in full screen with no address bar. Storage use stayed under 5 MB on my Galaxy, and the install used no mobile data beyond the first page load. You never install updates, because the app loads the current version from the browser each time you open it. One snag: the first launch on 4G took around six seconds, and later launches were faster.
The app opens on the lobby, with games sorted into tabs for Popular, New, Live Casino, Jackpots, Bonus Buys and Table Games. Tap any game cover to launch it. Without an account you can open slots in demo mode, which is how I tested three titles before depositing.
Tap the heart icon on a game cover to add it to your favourites. After my first evening the Favourites tab held twelve slots, and I reached them in one tap instead of scrolling through the lobby.
The menu button on the bottom navigation bar opens the live casino, promotions, loyalty scheme, VIP club and cashier. All of it sits within two taps of the lobby.
The design uses a deep navy background with violet highlights, which suits late-night sessions and does not strain your eyes. Buttons are large enough for a thumb on a 6.1-inch screen, and I never hit the wrong one in two days of use.
The search bar sits at the top of the lobby. You can filter by category and by provider, so typing a studio name pulls up its full catalogue in a few seconds. The filters reset every time you close a game, and that irritated me during a session of hopping between Megaways titles.
Once you have browsed the lobby, you can register from inside the app:
The whole process took me just under three minutes on mobile data.
Open the cashier from your account menu and pick an amount. The minimum deposit is £20. You can pay with a Visa or Mastercard debit card, and credit cards are not accepted. My £20 deposit appeared in my balance the moment I confirmed it, and the casino charged no fee on top. A £60 withdrawal back to the same Visa debit card reached my bank in two working days.
New customers get up to £500 plus 200 free spins, split across the first three deposits:
Each bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus amount. If you deposit £20 and receive a £20 bonus, you wager £800 before you can withdraw bonus winnings. Tick the bonus box in the cashier before you pay, because I could not add it afterwards.
The app uses 128-bit encryption, and you can see the padlock icon in the browser if you open the site outside the home-screen shortcut. Your card details never sit on your phone, so losing the handset does not expose them.
Lock the app yourself, too. A passcode, fingerprint or Face ID on your phone stops anyone who picks it up from reaching your balance. Log out after each session if you share the device with other people.
After a weekend of testing, these are the points that mattered to me.
